How To Use Amazon To Shop Online

With more than 230 million active customers, Amazon, the online giant, is one of the most popular online stores available. Even if Amazon’s (AMZN) own warehouses do not have what you are looking for, one of its third-party sellers could have that. Check out the Amazon website to browse through the shelves.

Find a niche

The homepage of Amazon offers various methods to find and buy items. Once the site begins to learn your tastes, the front page itself will show products based on your history. Type a search bar at the top of the page to find a particular item. Press the button “Enter” to search the whole catalogue, or select “All” from the drop-down menu automatically, to search a category that also allows the ability to refine for more specific results.

Check out and make an account

When you find items, click on “Add to Cart” to save them. You can always buy it from the cart later if you want. When done of searching the item, click the “Cart” button at the beginning of any Amazon page and select “Proceed to Checkout.” Include your email address when Amazon prompts you to register, choose “I am a new customer” and complete your personal information. To complete your purchase, you must also enter a credit card.

If you have not already shopped online, it might seem intimidating to give out your card number, but online stores use encryption to prevent hackers from stealing your information. Never give up your password, keep an up-to-date antivirus software on your computer to keep your account secure, just like on any other website. Some credit card companies also supply online shopping numbers for one-time use-check the website of your company to see if this feature is available.

Amazon Marketplace Shop

Many Amazon items come from third-party market sellers, indicated by the “Sold by” line next to the “Add to cart” button. Market vendors set their own prices, so you can find a great discount on a used item, or find a rare, discontinued item that is only available for sale at the cost of a collector. Even if you buy from another seller, Amazon will pay yourself, so you do not have to worry about the leakage of information from your credit card.

Return the item

If your new dress does not fit correctly, or a broken gadget comes, Amazon will accept most sales returns within 30 days of delivery. Third-party salespeople generally offer the same policy, although you will usually have to pay for the seller’s returns unless the seller announces free returns, while Amazon often supplies a prepaid shipping label for its own returns. The return cost can be deducted from the refund if the item has been returned for some reason other than the fault of Amazon.

To start a return, visit the Returns Center and click on “Return items” and select a product. Some types of items, such as food and high-price goods, have different return policies that can be viewed on the Return Policy page.

Now Amazon has become a great company for shopping and investing.
